LAUREL HYDE
ASSOCIATE CONSULTANT
Laurel provides management consulting services to corporate clients within the agricultural industry, focusing on human resource management systems and organizational development, executive management coaching, and executive search. Her 35 years of experience also includes significant sales and marketing, communication, policy and strategic development expertise both in the private sector and in government.
Laurel graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture, and has embraced a continuous learning attitude throughout her diverse career path, including involvement on several boards and within the community. Laurel represented the people of Manitoba as the lay person on the Judicial Inquiry Board for six years, was a board member of the U of M Alumni Association, provided human resource expertise to a church board and currently provides career counselling and mentoring to youth and international agricultural individuals. She is currently a member of the Board of Governors, University of Manitoba.
Laurel’s passions include people and animals, with a focus on the elderly and at-risk youth and a motto to ‘spread kindness’. She is active in many people’s lives, assisting them with daily life challenges. Laurel and Bob have two daughters, of whom they are incredibly proud. Laurel has a significant love for horses, the wilderness, cottage life, and travelling the world.
PATTI MCKENZIE
ASSOCIATE CONSULTANT
Patti provides management consulting services, with a focus on human resource management systems, executive search, and coaching support for agricultural clients. Patti’s 30 years of experience in the agricultural industry with prior experience in the sales, marketing, and distribution sectors brings her extensive industry knowledge and contacts for her clients in need of executive search support.
Her education includes a Bachelor of Science degree (Agriculture) from the University of Manitoba and several professional development courses and experiences through community and board involvement.
Patti has been actively involved with CancerCare Manitoba, 4H, and with numerous school programs and initiatives. Patti provides career counseling and mentoring, particularly to young people interested in pursuing a career in agriculture.
Patti has three children who are her passion and bring her great joy. She has a strong connection to the outdoors, a healthy active lifestyle, and enjoys embracing and supporting her community, friendships, and family.
JOHANNE ROSS
ASSOCIATE CONSULTANT
Johanne Ross has over 20 years of organizational development and senior leadership experience, serving the Canadian agriculture and food sector. Diverse and remote team motivation, and building productive relationships between governance and operational functions, have been two of her flagship success areas. An insightful relationship builder, Johanne has led and facilitated hundreds of diverse stakeholder collaborations, from government to private industry. She graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture after which she embarked on a diverse career path that opened up a passion for inspiring youth to take an interest in agriculture. Johanne’s 22-year experience in leading the executive management of Agriculture in the Classroom (provincially and then in 2015 nationally) resulted in supervising teams both remote and in-person, foundational organizational management including development of efficient human resource and financial processes and systems, and the engagement of sector partners, both through fund development and volunteer opportunities.
Johanne’s community interests include local 4H clubs, as well as serving on Boards including the Minnedosa Credit Union, the Canadian Agri-Business Education Foundation, and the Assiniboine Community College. Johanne has been awarded a YWCA Woman of Distinction for Agriculture and in 2021 she was inducted into the Canadian Agriculture Hall of Fame in recognition of her leadership in promoting and enhancing national agriculture education.
Johanne, her husband and three sons run a beef cattle farm north of Minnedosa, Manitoba. With any spare time, she can be found enjoying her yard and gardens, or hiking trails, and spending time with her granddaughter.
ROBERT HYDE, MBA, CAC, CMC, ICD.D
CERTIFIED MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT (CMC), SENIOR ADVISOR
Bob graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture (1980), majoring in economics and from the University of Western Ontario with a Master of Business Administration degree (1984), concentrating in marketing and international business. He has a passion for continuous learning, having recently attained his Institute of Corporate Directors, Director (ICD.D) designation from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management and the University of Manitoba’s Asper School of Business.
Bob is a Certified Management Consultant. He has over thirty-five years of management consulting experience serving large and small corporate and not-for-profit clients throughout Canada. Effective Board Governance, strategy development, and organizational development and establishing management systems in high growth start-up companies are areas of focus.
Bob has a strong interest in golf and hockey. He and his wife Laurel are very proud of their two daughters and spend their free time travelling and at their cottage.
ALISON MILLER
SUPPORT LEAD
Alison provides Administrative and Sales Support to Hyde Wealth Management, HR resolve, and to Hyde Management Services Inc. She has over 25 years of experience in providing professional services to clients. Her unwavering focus on customer satisfaction is important to our clients’ success.
Alison attained her Mutual Fund Licence in 1993 and her Branch Managers’ Licence in 2005 and has taken numerous courses focusing on compliance, advisor services and excellence in customer service.
Alison and her husband Darren have twin boys and they love spending time in, on and at the water during the summer! Any spare time Alison is usually found reading!
